What Magic Lightbox knows about you, and what it does with it.

1. What this covers

This policy explains what information Magic Lightbox collects, why, and what happens to it. Magic Lightbox is a voice-review app for films and TV: most of what you give us exists so other people can hear your reviews.

2. What we collect

• Account details — your email address and a password, or your Apple or Google account identifier if you sign in with them. Used only to operate your account.
• Profile — your display name, and any photo, bio, or wallpaper you add. These are public: anyone using the app can see them.
• Content you post — voice reviews, debate messages (voice and text), and emoji reactions. Reviews and debate messages are public and playable by anyone using the app, including people without an account.
• Watch lists and favourites — private to your account; other users never see them.
• Reports and blocks — if you report content or block someone, we store that. Reports are confidential; the person you report is not told who reported them.
• Push token — if you allow notifications, a device token so we can deliver them.

3. What we do not collect

No advertising identifiers, no tracking across other apps or websites, no analytics profiles, no contacts, no location. We do not sell or share your information with advertisers or data brokers — we have nothing they would want.

4. Where it lives

Your account and content are stored with Supabase, our hosting provider. Film and TV metadata (titles, posters, cast) comes from TMDB; requests for that metadata go to TMDB and are subject to their terms. Reaction emoji images are loaded from a public content network.

5. How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) permanently removes your profile, your voice reviews, your replies, and your reactions. Content removed by moderation is deleted from public view; reports about it may be retained as moderation records.

6. Your choices

• Edit or remove your profile details at any time from Edit profile.
• Delete individual voice notes from their ⋯ menu.
• Turn off notifications in iOS Settings, or mute individual debates in the app.
• Delete your account entirely under Settings → Delete account.

7. Children

Magic Lightbox is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will say so in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
