Terms of Use

The rules for posting on Magic Lightbox.

1. Accepting these terms

Magic Lightbox lets you record and share voice reviews of films and TV, and debate them with other people. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to have an account.

2. Your content

You keep ownership of the voice reviews and messages you post. You grant Magic Lightbox a licence to host, store, and play back that content so the app can work.

You are responsible for everything you post. Only post recordings you have the right to share.

3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Magic Lightbox. You must not post, send, or share content that:

• harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates anyone;
• expresses hatred towards or degrades people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any similar characteristic;
• is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way;
• depicts, encourages, or glorifies violence, self-harm, or illegal acts;
• impersonates another person, or misrepresents who you are;
• is spam, a scam, or an attempt to defraud or phish other users;
• infringes anyone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy;
• contains anyone's private information without their consent.

You must not stalk, follow, or repeatedly contact a user who has blocked you or asked you to stop, and you must not use the app to organise or encourage abuse of anyone.

4. Reporting and blocking

Every voice review, debate message, and account in the app can be reported from its ⋯ menu. You can also block any account: blocking hides their content from you and yours from them, and you can undo it at any time under Settings → Blocked accounts.

Reports are confidential — the person you report is not told who reported them.

5. How we act on reports

Every report is reviewed within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and the account that posted it may be suspended or permanently removed without notice or refund.

Serious violations — threats of violence, sexual content involving minors, or coordinated harassment — result in immediate and permanent removal, and may be referred to law enforcement.

We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion where we believe these terms have been broken.

6. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You can delete your account at any time under Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your profile, your voice reviews, and your replies.

7. No warranty

Magic Lightbox is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We are not responsible for content posted by other users, and we do not endorse any opinion expressed in a voice review or debate.

8. Changes

These terms may change as the app develops. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
